Since his foray into the bluegrass world, he's been in a couple serious outfits including Springfield Special & currently engaged as the front man of The Buttermilk Biscuit Boys. As a member of Springfield Special, Dr. Bingman was honored to play the Wheeling Jamboree as well as many old time bluegrass music festivals. They also released an instrumental album and now the doctor has a solo album, Biscuits & Bourbon, to be released on March 3rd at Hal & Al's in Columbus, OH.
Dr. Bingman has played hundreds of shows over the years throughout the midwest on down into the northern climes of the South, ranging from small town pubs to festivals with thousands of attendees. His philosophy is to play as often as possible wherever its possible and as long as at least one person shows enthusiasm then it was a good show. So far there's been no complaints. You can find Dr. Bingman mostly playing around the greater Columbus area with The Buttermilk Biscuit Boys, The BS Country & Western Band, The Hanging Deadmen, playing solo shows and hosting weekly & monthly events.
